Calvin Leslie has done a bit of traveling lately, and not the good kind. Leslie, profiled in the August 21, 2008, issue of Las Vegas Weekly (“Homeless Shelter?”) for his C&L Property Management company, which found available single-family homes to “rent” to the homeless using county subsidies, is sitting in the Cobb County Jail in Marietta, Georgia, awaiting arraignment on various charges.

According to records from the various agencies involved, Leslie was booked as a fugitive into the Clark County Detention Center on January 17, after a traffic stop revealed a warrant for his arrest from Georgia. He was extradited to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on January 24 on charges including theft by conversion, first-degree forgery and theft by deception. He was later transferred to the Cobb County Jail on February 17 for probation violation stemming from charges of financial identity fraud.
