Where’s the party at? More specifically, the party after the party?
Afterhours events in Vegas either come and go in the blink of a sleep-deprived eye or become an established scene staple for years. If you haven’t partied until after the break of dawn in a while and are looking for an all-nighter in the near future, it can be daunting to decide where to go — or even know what’s open — while you’re drunk. So we’re here to break it down for ya. (Remember: While times technically are early morning the next day, clubs don’t consider it to be the next day until you go to sleep. Assuming you do.)
The Artisan: A brand new afterhours party Friday and Saturday nights beginning March 19. Well, it’s kind of new. Though the Artisan dabbled in afterhours before, it’s back on our radar thanks to Brett Rubin and Next Events. The opening weekend will feature sets by Joey Mazzola, Frank Richards, Spacebyrdz, Brian Hart, Svast & Stellar, Double Down Charlie Brown and DJ Purple, plus residents Electrik Haze. The Artisan Afterhours will also offer “don’t drink and drive” room specials if you’re too sauced to head home post party. Doors at 3 a.m. theartisanhotel.com
Cathouse: Vanity Afterhours, Wednesdays starting at 1 a.m., features DJ Relapse spinning house sounds every week in the loungerie. (And, to alleviate confusion, it has nothing to do with the new Vanity nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino) cathouselv.com
Déjà vu Erotic Ultra Lounge: Formally Seamless, Fusion Afterhours parties at Déjà vu run nightly from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a rotating roster of electronic music DJs including Mikey Swift (Friday-Sunday), DJ Shift on Fridays, Jeffrey Thomas on Mondays, Damien Jay on Tuesdays, Joey da Juice on Wednesdays, and Exodus takes control of the tables on Thursdays. dejavuvegas.com
Drai’s Afterhours: Thursday through Sunday, doors at 1 a.m., Drai’s is the Vegas veteran on the afterhours list, still going strong and showing no sign of slowing down. Be sure to check out resident DJ and Music Director Chris Garcia while you’re there. drais.net
The Playground: Obsession Afterhours, Saturdays at 2 a.m. Back on the radar once again, Obsession has been resurrected and is featuring local talent each week, as well as bringing in noted guest electronic music headliners, such as superstar DJ Keoki on March 20. nexteventslv.com
Velvet Lion: Re:Birth with Joey Mazzola, Tuesdays at 3 a.m.; Ossum’s BASSmint Afterhours Wednesday through Saturday, 3 a.m. Finding a new home at Velvet Lion (previously at Soulzburry), Ossum’s BASSmint has taken off and become a new favorite stop for local clubbers looking for a late night out. Spinning on Wednesdays and Saturdays is Spacebyrdz (aka Oscar Molina and Annexx), with Brian Hart on Thursdays and Frank Charles on Fridays. velvetlate.com
