Comedy Central may soon be airing some familiar faces... and feathered hair... and spandex... lots and lots of spandex.

Steel Panther, the LA-based hair metal cover band that performs in Las Vegas every Saturday at House of Blues, will be producing a pilot for the cable network. According to the Comedy Central 2010-2011 development slate, Steel Panther will be a "loosely scripted docu-reality show" that follows the band as they try to bring back heavy metal (and giant hair). Comedian Brian Posehn (The Sarah Silverman Program) and Jeff Tremaine (one of the Jackass creators) are listed as creators on the project.
