Wed, May 19, 2010 (6:21 p.m.)

Who: Kaskade The details: Encore Beach Club, May 30, doors at 11 a.m., $40 and up. Why go? It’s the grand opening of Encore Beach Club and the start of Kaskade’s summer residency. “Instead of flying back and forth to Ibiza all summer, I’d much rather fly to Las Vegas and bring the party here,” says the Orange County based DJ/producer. His new album, Dynasty, should provide a perfect pool-party soundtrack.
Who: Boys Noize The details: Liquid Pool Lounge, May 30, doors at 11 a.m., cost tbd. Why go?: Boys Noize, aka German DJ/producer Alexander Ridha, promises he’ll play the sound he’s best known for. “If I’m at a pool, I’ll probably play more of a pool set, but still it’s going to be my stuff, some more old-school jacking house, some techno,” he says. He’ll be paired with Italian house DJ Benny Benassi for the Liquid gig.
Who: Deadmau5 The details: Vanity, May 30, 12:30 a.m., $75 and up; Wet Republic, May 31, doors at 10 a.m., $100 and up. Why go? Because you’re a hardcore Mau5keteer, and you want to party nonstop from the nightclub to the pool. Because you spent months making your own Mau5head to wear just like Toronto producer Deadmau5 does at his gigs. Oh, and because he’s partnered up with hot Dutch DJ Afrojack—all the kiddies who couldn’t make it will be jealous.
Who: Erick Morillo The details: Tao Nightclub, May 30, doors at 10 p.m., $50 and up. Why go?: You only get a few chances every year to check out Morillo in Vegas—all exclusively at Tao on major holiday weekends. The Colombian-American is notorious for keeping the party going all night with extended sets; his parties rage on until the break of dawn for people who really like to move it, move it.
Who: Armin van Buuren The details: Rain Nightclub and Palms Pool, May 30, doors at 9 p.m., $70 and up ($475 weekend passes also available). Why go? It’s’ Armin friggin’ van Buuren! Any über dance-music fan in the know (or #trancefamily Twitterer) will be clamoring to get on the stage near the Dutch DJ/producer, who’s held the world’s No. 1 DJ spot for three years running. And there is plenty more going on at The Palms, including an all-white-attire party May 29 highlighted by Markus Schulz and a performance from Jes.
Who: Dirty South The details: Wet Republic, May 30, doors at 11 a.m., $100 and up ($400 weekend passes also available). Why go?: We’re talking Dirty South, the Serbian-born, Australian-raised DJ/producer, not the hip-hop style. “I didn’t know that Dirty South [music] existed in America,” says Dragan Roganovic, aka Dirty South. “I just chose that name by chance.” One day earlier (May 29), Roger Sanchez, Victor Calderone and Cedric Gervais will spin at Wet.
Who:The Crystal Method The details: Sunday, May 30, Blush, doors at 10 p.m., $30 and up. Why go? Our hometown heroes Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland, better known as The Crystal Method kick off We Love House Music’s new Sunday night home (moving from Wednesdays) plus throwing down a DJ set for their native city.
