In less than six months, chef McClain of Sage has established himself as a man to watch. Just two months after opening, Sage was named a semifinalist for the Best New Restaurant James Beard Award. San Diego native chef Shawn McClain has created a venue for highly sophisticated, contemporary American food with an eye on sustainable, farm-fresh ingredients in his restaurant.
