Best Wines by the Glass: Sage
Thu, May 27, 2010 (midnight)
Nothing is over $20, and the 16 by-the-glass selections range from the familiar (Sanford chardonnay), to the surprising (an amazingly good $9 Palacio Remondo rioja). All of it matches splendidly with Shawn McClain’s new American menu, and (for once) you won’t feel like they saw you comin’. At Aria at CityCenter, 3730 Las Vegas Blvd. S. Mon.-Sat., 5 p.m.-10 p.m. (877) 230-2742.
Sage
Sage, easily one of the best restaurants in the city, is certainly the best experience in Aria and the one thing you will hate yourself for missing if you never visit CityCenter. San Diego native chef Shawn McClain has created a venue for highly sophisticated, contemporary American food with an eye on sustainable, farm-fresh ingredients in his restaurant.
"It brings a very forward-thinking, ingredient-driven approach to Vegas fine dining," says Brock Radke, Las Vegas Weekly's restaurant reviewer. Radke named Sage to the No. 11 spot on his list of the 20 most important restaurants in Las Vegas.
