GO

UNLV hoops vs. Wisconsin Call it Groundhog Day for Rebel Nation. If our boys play well against the Badgers of the Big Ten, another season of sunshine is likely up ahead. A win against Bo Ryan’s always-formidable squad could well put the Rebels in the Top 25, too. November 20, 4 p.m., $20-$38, T&M, Versus TV.

Hogwart’s Express Can’t get enough Harry? The Clydesdale’s Andrew Karasa trots out his Potter tribute project for a live set featuring Pan de Sal’s Judi Brown, Big Friendly Corporation’s Ryan Marth, and others. November 18, 5 p.m., the Beat.

Jeff McBride’s Wonderground For $10, you get two drinks and four hours of entertainment of every kind—magic, music, go-go dancing, Tarot reading, living art, video installation—and the feeling that you’re part of something special. November 18, 8 p.m., $10, the Olive, 3850 E. Sunset Road.

The Crucible A straight-up witch tale or an allegory for McCarthyism? One thing’s sure: Insurgo’s cast is always worth checking out. Through December 4, Friday & Saturday, 8 p.m., $15-$20, Bastard Theater.

SEE

Conan Conan O’Brien is back doing his standard Conan O’Brien thing, and that’s exactly what he should be doing. His new talk show is familiar, comforting and quite entertaining. Monday-Thursday, 11 p.m., TBS.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World For those who skipped this wonderful action-romance-comedy in theaters: It’s now on DVD. You have no excuse for missing one of the best and most creative movies of the year.

HEAR

Avey Tare Animal Collective is between albums and on touring hiatus, but Down There, a solo LP from one of its principal members, should keep fans happy. Really, really happy, judging from the psychedelic swirl of its unpoppy-yet-oddly-mesmerizing material.

SHOP

Snow Jam Las Vegas Breckenridge already has 20 inches of fresh powder and the rest of the West isn’t far behind. Score deep discounts on snow sports gear all weekend at Snow Jam ... or get stuck wearing that magenta bib again. November 19-21, Cashman Center, $15 at the door, $13 at snowjamshow.com.
