Don’t stop believin’: DJ/VJ Roonie G took over the Fremont Street Experience November 20.

Dance party on Fremont Street! Celebrated DJ/VJ Roonie G took control of the audio and visual experience November 20 as both super fans and people strolling by stopped to look up and listen during Roonie’s four open-format sets, which included his signature video mashups. From Transformers to Teletubbies, Peter Griffin to pop stars, the Fremont Street Experience’s 90-foot-high Viva Vision with 1,500 feet of 12.5 million lights became Roonie’s entertaining canvas and a perfect accompaniment to the tunes as young beatboys, club kids, tourists and even retirees danced below. The only difference from his club appearances? The random Downtowners wandering by asking for money, a hug, cigarettes, if they could touch a friend’s leggings … wait, that’s exactly like a club. So … anyone down to organize a full-on massive on Fremont? Consider this our advance RSVP. –Deanna Rilling
Let the basslines begin. And some turntablism, too. Throw in a bit of drum and bass and possibly the biggest Vegas event focusing on the genres will take place December 17. Craze, AK1200, Datsik, 12th Planet, Bare and more are heading to Vegas for Frequency at Crown Nightclub. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., tickets start at $20 and are available at thecrownvegas.com.–D.R.
The lovely ladies of Crazy Horse III show their cans seven nights a week, and now it’s your turn! The gentlemen’s club will be hosting an open bar with complimentary sushi on December 10 from 9 to 11 p.m. In return, they’re asking you to spread the holiday cheer by bringing in canned goods for their Show Us Your Cans holiday food drive. Don’t be a scrooge—you might just be bra-humbug-ed! –Mark Adams
Last month, friends and BMX riders Ty Pinney and TJ Lavin were severely injured in separate BMX accidents, both occurring within just two days. The Las Vegas locals still have the long road to recovery ahead, and you can help out. UFC President Dana White will host a benefit in their honor at Vanity Nightclub on December 3, with all admission proceeds going to their recovery fund. –M.A.
