After the party it’s the hotel lobby. Or, in the case of Green Valley Ranch Resort, the party is the lobby. Just around the corner from the Henderson resort’s massive front doors, the newly reopened Lobby Bar promises locals a stylish locale to partake in a glass of scotch, listen to acoustic music or enjoy some fresh air. The lounge opens daily at 5 p.m., with special events Wednesday through Sunday, including Skin & Scotch Wednesdays with a free scotch tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. and cigars rolled fresh on site. Thursdays, half-price martinis start at sundown, while Fridays and Saturdays bring live music to the Lobby: Jeremy Cornwell on Friday and reggae on the patio (plus $5 drink pours and other specials) on Saturday. Finally, Sundays are Recess industry nights from 8 p.m. until midnight, with drinks for $5 and $75 bottles. Finding a place to lounge without having to leave the ’burbs? Priceless.
