Meghan McCain: Sin City savior

When is a faux pas not a faux pas? When it happens in Las Vegas, that’s when. Meghan McCain has fallen off a lot of Christmas lists for her decision to blow off a speaking engagement at a Pittsburgh college to party in Vegas. (To be precise, she tweeted, “First real time off in months ... Viva Las Vegas, baby.”) Yeah, there’s lots of hand-wringing about snubbing a college, but let us be the first to say, well done, Meghan! Our city’s economy is in the toilet, our housing market is on life support, and everyone’s out of work. But with this one highly publicized action, you have helped remind a nation that Sin City is the place to relax and leave responsibility behind. Bravo!
