Luvs riffs off our city’s tag line in a disturbing diaper commercial

It is often said that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but surely there’s a limit. We believe that limit comes in the form of cartoon babies participating in public poop-off competitions. That is exactly where Luvs goes in a disturbing commercial for Ultra Leakguards. The television spot features babies joyously defecating (without spillage, duh!) into their Ultra Leakguards onstage at the “Heavy Dooty Competition.” The spot lovingly riffs off “what happens here, stays here,” stating, “what happens in diapers should stay in diapers.” Great—our city’s classic tag line has been warped so far that it can effectively be used to sell something that collects baby crap. At least Las Vegas isn’t alone in being parodied. The commercial is set to the tune of one-hit wonder Tag Team’s “Whoomp! There It Is.” Naturally, the words are now “Poop! There it is.”
