Who would you want to play Las Vegas?

The Joint’s Mötley Crüe announcement has the Weekly staff wishing its personal favorites would plunk down in town for a while:

Erykah Badu The soulful singer packs more emotion into one song than most artists manage in an entire show. More nights would only mean more of her enchanting, intoxicating, enveloping live performance. –Sarah Feldberg

The Brian Jonestown Massacre With their large, eclectic discography, they’d rarely have to play the same thing twice, giving us plenty of reasons to keep coming back. –Ken Miller

Pearl Jam The grunge titans have been known to play 90-plus different songs over the course of a single tour, so a residency could bring a completely new and unpredictable show each night.–Josh Bell

Marianne Faithfull Inviting the legendary throaty Brit to Las Vegas might seem like an insult to the songstress’ intellect, depth and history. But should she accept, I’d go every night and never sleep again.–Kristen Peterson

King Khan and the Shrines King KHan and the Shrines Stripping down to a cape and a Blitzkrieg helmet or sawing through a line like the Canadian-Indian James Brown, Khan is a spectacle. You’ll laugh, you’ll dance, you’ll stare at his nipples.–Erin Ryan

Tom Waits Put the man in a smoky lounge, dim the lights and let him play for however long he wants. Hell, he could do a different album each night if he likes. No one said we had to think realistically here.–Spencer Patterson
