Las Vegas, prepare to be taken to The Suburbs.

Arcade Fire, fresh off Sunday’s Grammy awards Album of the Year victory, has announced a Thursday, April 14 live date at the Joint as part of its upcoming U.S. tour. The show will mark the Canadian indie-rockers’ first Vegas performance since 2005, when they played the inaugural edition of the now-defunct Vegoose music festival on the fields behind Sam Boyd Stadium.

Arcade Fire’s third full-length release, The Suburbs, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August. The group’s first two albums, 2004’s Funeral and 2007’s Neon Bible, also drew widespread acclaim, each finishing in the top 10 of Village Voice’s annual Pazz & Jop critics poll for its respective year.

The band, which plays this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, April 16, joins several other acts from the SoCal desert fest with gigs in Las Vegas that week, including Brandon Flowers, Mumford & Sons, Robyn and Jenny and Johnny (Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice).

Ticket information for Arcade Fire’s Vegas date has yet to be announced. LA-based indie rock quintet Local Natives are scheduled to open.
