Film, music, poker and sports stars gathered at the downtown Golden Nugget on Friday and yesterday for the first Texas Hold’em poker tournament benefiting Starkey Hearing Foundation and Pros for Africa and presented by poker pro Phil Hellmuth and World Poker Entertainment.

The scheduled lineup of participants included Steve Martin, Lou Ferrigno, Verne J. Troyer, Don Cheadle, Kevin Sorbo, Kenny Johnson, Johnny Chan, Jason Chan, Joe Reitman, Howard Lederer, Suzie Lederer, Annie Duke, Liz Lieu, Michelle Lau, Jordin Sparks, Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship, Sam Moore, Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald Jr., Bernard Berrian, Chris Canty, Mark Clayton, Larry Johnson, Curtis Lofton, Bryant McKinnie and Roy Williams.

Starkey Hearing Foundation serves the world’s hearing impaired, and Pros for Africa provides basic needs for children in Africa. Money raised from Raise Your Hand for Africa will fund African missions by both groups scheduled for next month.
