Clash of the DJ titans

The Palms broke new ground in Vegas nightlife when it began playing electronic dance music in its mainstream clubs. Now, N9NE Group is at it again. The same people who brought you Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto will launch Clash, an “all electro everything” party, at Rain on January 14. “When I went to New York about three or four years ago I saw this electro scene that I wasn’t familiar with ... edgy, a little bit dirty,” N9NE Group Vice President of Brand Development Bronson Olimpieri says. “It just kind of inspired me to want to do something a little different and have some fun.”

Calendar

Clash Fridays
Doors open 11 p.m., $30 cover, local ladies free
Rain, 942-6832

Kicking the party off will be international superstar Diplo, with an opening set by N9NE Group resident DJ Dave Fogg. Felix da Housecat joins Diplo as an exclusive rotating resident DJ, with Hyphy Crunk and DJs M!KEATTACK, Spryte and OB-One also to be featured regularly. And the Palms isn’t skimping on headlining guests either, with Richard Vission and Wolfgang Gartner both confirmed for the all-electro event.
