How does wearing a full fur suit (and matching hat) in the scorching July heat sound to you? Well, to a group of devoted Burning Man attendees, it’s the best way to spend this Friday night. Even if you didn’t score a ticket to the upcoming weeklong festival in Northern Nevada, you can join this weekend’s festivities—the Summer Santa Rampage is open to any brave soul willing to wear the red and white suit in our city’s 100-plus-degree heat. So should you be inclined to celebrate Christmas a little early this year, or if you get a kick out of turning tourists’ heads, this Santa gathering is certainly for you. We at the Weekly have but one piece of advice for the St. Nick impersonators: antiperspirant deodorant.
