- Comme Ça
- At the Cosmopolitan, 698-7910
Not tired of nationalist celebrations just yet? On July 14, raise a glass of champagne—no, Bud Light is not an appropriate substitute—to Bastille Day, France’s annual commemoration of the 1789 storming of the Bastille prison-fort, which preceded the French Revolution. Mark the holiday with a champagne sabering and skydiving demo at 7 p.m. at Summerlin bistro Marche Bacchus, or partake in Mon Ami Gabi’s weeklong special menu (July 14-20) featuring dishes like chilled crème du berry soup and duck confit salad with grilled peaches. Finally, Comme Ça will serve a holiday prix fixe menu dubbed “the Feast” (July 14, 2-8 p.m., $65), featuring French classics like potted rillettes, grilled Provençal sausage and pommes Lyonaisse. When the French get patriotic, a summer barbecue just won’t do.
