Another week, another Las Vegas beer festival. Big Dog’s Brewing Company hosts Summer Beer Fest this weekend, featuring dozens of awesome brews, including the debut of Big Dog’s Strawberry Wheat, and reggae music from Kava Kreation. Here’s how it works: Pick from two packages, Starter (30 tokens plus a festival pint glass for $33) or Deluxe (30 tokens, glass and T-shirt for $50), and use your tokens for either one-quarter pours, half-pours or full pours—you know, kind of like old Disneyand tickets. And in case you’re wondering, yeah, some of these beers are true E-ticket rides. (A full pour of Lagunitas’ Brown Sugga American Strong is nine tokens.) For those planning on getting there ahead of us, please save us a pint of the following: Snowed-In Imperial Stout from Sierra Nevada, Wilco Tango Foxtrot (WTF) from Lagunitas, “The Abyss” Imperial Stout from Deschutes, Pier Rat Baltic Porter from Pizza Port Carlsbad and Great White Witbier from Lost Coast. Yum.
