Nightlife news & notes: Tiesto’s new reality show and more
Wed, Jun 29, 2011 (4:56 p.m.)
Tiesto gets his own online reality series!
Erik Kabik/RETNA
Tryst and XS resident DJ Alex Dreamz has produced remixes for Usher, Guns N’ Roses and Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga. So who’s next? Pop princess-turned-Femme Fatale Britney Spears, of course. Dreamz releases an official remix of Britney’s latest single, “I Wanna Go,” this month. —Mark Adams
Bummed you missed the neon-drenched, three-night dance party that was last weekend’s Electric Daisy Carnival? Don’t despair. Mark your calendar for EDC producer Insomniac Events’ upcoming SoCal massives Audiotistic with Sebastian Ingrosso, Diplo and Major Lazer on July 30; Nocturnal Festival September 23-24; and Escape From Wonderland on Halloween. It’s never too early to start working on those plastic bead bracelets.
As if powerhouse DJ Tiësto didn’t have enough on his plate already—what with Vegas and Ibiza residencies and a tour schedule that has him in a different European country nearly every day this summer—the recent EDC headliner is stepping in front of the camera for new online reality series In the Booth. Keep an eye on tiesto.com for the first of 15 mini-episodes.
