This year's Neon Reverb will be about much more than music

Put a bunch of restaurants in a row and you essentially have a strip mall. Make them food trucks and you have a party. Add music, live art and booths from local streetwear designers and tattoo studios and you’ve got Vegas StrEATS, a Downtown festival setting up this Saturday at the El Cortez. While Neon Reverb fills music fans’ ears, starting at 8 p.m. StrEATS, presented by Slidin’ Thru, will offer tasty burgers, decked-out hot dogs, shaved ice and cheese steaks from Fukuburger, Sloppi Jo’s, Snow Ono and other trucks. Artists will give street benches live makeovers, while DJs $hr3d and 19Sixty will provide the tunes. If you can stay up till 2 a.m., a special mystery performer will take over for a late-night set, right about the time you sidle up to the Tasty Bunz truck for fourth meal.
