It’s Britney, bitch! That’s right, Ms. Spears will tape an MTV special March 25 at the Palms. Rumor has it DJ Pauly D will join the pop princess as she promotes her new album, Femme Fatale, at Rain. Apply for a ticket (that’s right, you have to apply) to the exclusive event at onsetproductions.com/calendar. Can you say “comeback?” —Mark Adams
Las Vegas was seriously jam-packed over the weekend with St. Patrick’s Day celebrants, March Madness maniacs and Spring Break students, and one nightspot that really benefited from the traffic was Marquee. On Friday night more than 5,000 partygoers passed through the doors of the nearly 3-month-old Cosmopolitan nightclub, a new record for a Friday.
Are you ready to get Sunkissed? The combination pool party and Sunday brunch at Rumor featuring DJ Bill Bouvier of the Abbey in West Hollywood comes courtesy of Eduardo Cordova Presents in conjunction with Sin City Q Socials. The self-described Las Vegas gay daylife bash kicks off May 1. That’s only six weeks to get in pool shape.
Strip nightclubs morphed into the birthday epicenter this past weekend, with Eva Longoria celebrating No. 36 with new boyfriend Eduardo Cruz (Penelope’s brother) at Beso and Eve; Rob Kardashian turning 24 with sisters Kim and Khloe at Jet; Sugar Ray singer and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Mark McGrath at Lavo; Kathy Hilton and niece Whitney Davis at Tao; and Chris Evans celebrating the birthdays of two Boston buddies at Marquee.
Tacos & Tequila at the Luxor is walking on the wild side beginning April 6 with the launch of Cougars and Cuervo. Each Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m., a hot “cougar” hosts the festivities, with proceeds from the Cougarita going to her charity of choice. Recently divorced Tamra Barney of The Real Housewives of Orange County starts the promotion off accompanied by much-younger boy toy Eddie Judge. Grrr! —Don Chareunsy
