Extreme Thing After 16 years, you know the drill—extreme music, extreme sports and other assorted extreme behavior all day long at Desert Breeze Park. A Night at the Pops Showtunes! The Las Vegas Philharmonic presents “An Evening With Rogers and Hammerstein,” featuring vocal soloists and the Las Vegas Master Singers. March 26, 8 p.m., $35-$75, Ham Hall.
The Lincoln Lawyer Matthew McConaughey keeps his shirt on and puts his charm to good use in this legal thriller about a sleazy lawyer taking on a rich client with a few secrets. Both the star and the genre find redemption in a solid, entertaining movie. Now playing citywide.
Black Swan Natalie Portman deservedly won an Oscar for playing a high-strung ballerina cracking under the pressure of her first leading role in Darren Aronofsky’s creepy, engrossing melodrama. Available on DVD March 29.
Viva la Vita Bella With authentic Italian food, live music and activities for the kids, it should easy to live the beautiful life at this fun and free cultural event. March 26, 11 a.m., Sahara West Library.
