The evidence of one loco Cinco de Mayo!
Want proof the economy is on the rebound? Look no further than the Tryst nightclub mega-receipt that’s been making the rounds online since a customer apparently racked up the $189,375 tab on May 5. And how exactly does one manage to spend the equivalent of a three-bedroom home in a single night? Start with four 15-liter bottles of Veuve Cliquot at $25,000 each, add 24 bottles of Dom Perignon and 55 Grey Goose drinks, and you’re well on your way. But the best part of the bill isn’t the $29,581 tip—it’s the two Bud Lights at the bottom at $10 a pop.
One year after Nikki Beach and the Tropicana made their partnership official with—what else?—a bottle of champagne, the party pool and nightclub will hold its grand opening next week. Starting with the infamous White Party on May 26, Memorial Day Weekend will be packed with festivities at the new venue, including appearances by Robbie Rivera, Jojo Flores, Behrouz and more. Start hunting for the perfect pair of white linen pants ... and a great dry cleaner. —Sarah Feldberg
Having judged the costume contests at Marquee’s Friday the 13th party, I just might consider joining the contestants next time. I can’t compete with comic book hero War Machine (Friday’s contest winner), but Pee-wee Herman and a pair of Barbies? For $10,000, sign me up!
After canceling her Chateau appearance last month due to a last-minute scheduling conflict, Nicki Minaj will return—fingers crossed—to perform at the Paris nightspot this Saturday. Fan of the pink-obsessed pop star? Better luck this time. —Mark Adams
