This place maintains its hipster cool more than five decades after opening. Definitely get the tableside Caesar, a martini and some red meat. While the steaks aren’t dry aged, you’ll hardly notice while taking in the ambiance—besides, that’s not how the Rat Pack did it back then. 308 W. Sahara Ave. Daily, 4:30 p.m.-11 p.m. 384-4470.

Golden Steer
Nothing about this joint is as good as it was years ago, but when you’ve been open for 52 years, respect should be paid. The ghosts of the Rat Pack still haunt this place, and it’s a hoot to tuck into Sammy or Dino’s regular booth and then into a sirloin. The last seating is at 10:30 p.m.
