One of Sammy D’s most maniacal machinations—so good it was put back on the menu by popular demand. Consisting of a mixture of four cheeses including pepper jack and cream cheese, the dish is finished with crumbled Doritos for an irresistible crunch. At Palazzo. Daily, 11 a.m.-2 a.m. 607-3478.

First is "the" neighborhood bar. The one with the burgers and fries that taste like heaven at 2 a.m. The joint with the great playlist and your favorite beer on tap. The one that's a little bit rock 'n roll, but didn't scare away your folks when they stopped in for a visit last month.
