Best soup to soothe the soul: Number 18 at Pho Saigon 8
Thu, May 26, 2011 (midnight)
A supreme hangover cure needs some funk on it. This is the tastiest pho at Pho Saigon 8, beefy broth filled with rice noodles, rare steak, flank steak, brisket, beef tendon and tender tripe. So good I don’t need to get blitzed to enjoy this truly soulful soup. 5650 W. Spring Mountain Rd., 248-6663. Daily, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; 9055 S. Eastern Ave., 629-3100. Daily, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
