Las Vegas' upcoming New Year's Eve celebration just got a lot louder.
Veteran hard rock band Guns N' Roses has announced it will close out its 2011 U.S. tour with a December 31 show at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. Tickets start at $95 plus fees and go on sale Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and the Hard Rock box office.
Guns N' Roses went 15 years between albums before releasing the long-awaited Chinese Democracy in 2008. Along with leader Axl Rose, the current GNR lineup includes: DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal on guitar, Tommy Stinson on bass, Chris Pitman and Dizzy Reed on keyboards and Frank Ferrer on drums.
The release accompanying today's announcement promises "a two and a half hour show with all of their hits." Guns N' Roses' best-known songs include "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child o' Mine," "Paradise City," "Patience," "Don't Cry" and "November Rain."
Other scheduled Las Vegas New Year's Eve concerts include Stevie Wonder at the Cosmopolitan, John Legend at the Pearl and NOFX (with Lagwagon, Old Man Markley and Holding Onto Sound) at House of Blues . Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band play Mandalay Bay on December 30.
