Counting today, you have exactly 54 days left to experience Studio 54, MGM’s flagship nightclub for the past 14 years.
The venue’s closure isn’t just the end of a nightclub, it’s the end of an era (or in this case, the revival of one). From its inception the club has paid homage to its iconic namesake in New York City, which saw its last party in 1980. Memorabilia from the original West 54th Street location was incorporated in the Strip-side nightspot, including celebrity photographs taken at the NYC party scene staple.
The venue will close its doors January 8, providing space for a new nightlife venue that has yet to be announced. To toast the nightclub’s finality, one last “unforgettable bash” has been planned for January 7.
