You gotta give Katy Perry credit for one thing: She knows how to package herself. Her videos are spun from the greatest acid trips of Sid and Marty Krofft (although we’re pretty sure H.R. Pufnstuf never squirted icing from his chest); her songs are the very essence of catchy pop; and no one acts the part of a, well, teenage dream more than Perry—statuesque, gorgeous and with a pretty well-rounded sense of humor. (C’mon, admit it you Perry haters, even you smiled while watching her video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” featuring a who’s who of ’80s icons with a little Rebecca Black sprinkled in.)

She even manages to create controversy where there is none—really, Sesame Street? A duet with Elmo was too risqué? Expect lots of production value at her Las Vegas show—and, of course, “Waking Up in Vegas,” a tidy collection of Vegas clichés. But Perry is cute, so you’ll love it, right?
