Is Oscar Goodman TV bound?

Image

He’s the most famous mayor in the world; a TV show for Oscar Goodman seems only logical, right?

Looks like Oscar Goodman doesn’t need to shed those showgirls after all, and the martinis can continue to flow. The former mayor of Las Vegas and counsel to purported mafia figures is in line for a primetime show titled (for now) Vegas Night Court With Oscar Goodman. Wayne Jefferies, producer of Pawn Stars, is teaming with Jerry Kupcinet, whose production and directing credits include his work on Judge Judy, on the project. ¶ The pilot is to be shot in November at the Plaza Showroom, and Jefferies says a major network is deeply interested in the project and hopes to air it in the 7-9 p.m. range (if all goes as planned, the show will also air in daytime in syndication). ¶ It is expected Goodman will enter the courtroom with a pair of showgirls, his ubiquitous sidekicks during his countless mayoral appearances. He’ll also carry a martini, as the show will air at what is often happy hour, and Goodman wouldn’t have it any other way.
