Blush Boutique Nightclub says goodbye

The Las Vegas Nightlife Group venue closed its doors Saturday night.
Four years ago—on the same night that Britney Spears hosted the grand opening of next-big-thing LAX—Blush Boutique Nightclub began with a little friendly competition.
“Kobe Bryant got in a champagne bottle-buying contest against Antonio Esfandiari,” remembers Las Vegas Nightlife Group owner Sean Christie. The baller and the poker pro went back and forth, ordering $1,400 bottles of Cristal. Bryant’s whopping $21,000 bill—the eventual victor—went national, featured on websites like TMZ.com and Yahoo Sports.
“Blush was kind of like the little engine that could,” Christie says.
And it really could. For four years the petite club, which served its last bottle of Grey Goose Saturday night, has been a favorite of locals and tourists alike for its chic atmosphere and relatively relaxed vibe.
“Blush was the type of place that, even though it was in the Wynn, it felt almost like a neighborhood bar. One of the best compliments that I got that’s stuck with me for a long time is that it felt like a comfortable shoe,” Christie says.
A shoe, huh? Perhaps a very well-made stiletto with one of those fancy gel insoles.
