Bridesmaids on DVD This year’s biggest comedy box-office hit not co-starring Zach Galifianakis and a monkey is a funny, honest take on female friendship, with some great performances and sharp writing. September 20.
2 Broke Girls The season’s funniest new TV comedy, featuring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as a mismatched pair of waitresses in a Brooklyn diner, successfully mixes cynical, raunchy humor with a traditional sitcom heart Mondays, 8:30 p.m., CBS.
Beneath the Surface The ethereal photography of Linda Altweritz merges landscapes with medical imagery. Through October 22; opening reception September 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m., UNLV’s Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery.
