Dear Abby, let’s get real about Vegas

Last week, the syndicated advice column Dear Abby hit home. A woman wrote Abby (aka Jeanne Phillips) about her husband of nearly 30 years, who’s been spending a lot of time in our neck of the woods: “I’m beginning to get little nagging signals that he may not have been on these trips alone. ... What do I do?—What Happened in Vegas?” Abby replied that she should share her feelings. I think she should take her own solo Vegas vacation and have some drinks with Rod Stewart. He’s on his third marriage and reportedly once said, “Instead of getting married again, I’m going to find a woman I don’t like and just give her a house.” He’s not as rosy as Abby, but at least he’s real.
