Nightlife news coming out of Red Rock Resort* this week: Beginning on May 25, Cherry Nightclub will reopen on Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm. The club, formerly a Summerlin locals hangout, closed in early 2010, and its poolside space was rebranded as Red Rock Cabana Club for summertime pool parties, which continue cover-free.
For the 2012 pool season, Cherry's Summer Affair will be an indoor/outdoor party with DJs spinning house, rock and pop mashups. Bottles will run you $200.
"We want Red Rock Resort to be the obvious choice for weekend and late-night entertainment this summer," says Red Rock General Manager Mark Dunkeson.
Let’s wait until mid-June and see whether Dunkeson pulls it off. In the meantime, Cherry fans can also pick up work at the club. Red Rock is accepting applications for all positions and will be holding a job fair April 17-18 for hopefuls who apply online in advance at stationcasinos.com. Click here for more details.
*Technically, the resort is still called “Red Rock Resort,” though, the way things are going in Vegas, a rebranding to “R3” seems inevitable. Isn’t that right, D?
