The Electric Daisy Carnival expanded to three full nights when it moved from LA to Las Vegas last year, and in turn more than 230,000 dance music fans flooded the fields at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. How do you top that?

The answer: turn this year’s installment into a celebratory week. That’s exactly what event producer Insomniac is doing, with “EDC Week” events leading up to the three-day (June 8-10) fest.

Details for one such event were announced today—the Bassrush Massive, going down at the Orleans Arena on Thursday, June 6. The dubstep and drum & bass-devoted event includes acts that are playing EDC (Datsik, Knife Party, Bassnectar, Excision, Noisia and Fury), along with a few that aren’t (12th Planet and Sigma).

Tickets to the 18-and-over event go on sale Monday at noon, and more EDC Week events should be announced soon. Stay tuned to lasvegasweekly.com for all the updates about June’s impending EDM awesomeness.
