You can be Blue Man Group’s new Showbot character
Open casting call set for August 9 at Monte Carlo
Wed, Aug 8, 2012 (midnight)
The Blue Men are adding a new cast member this fall: Showbot.
The Blue Man Group will debut its new show at the Monte Carlo in October, and when it does, there will be a robot. If you’re a female between 5’3” and 5’5” with a good sense of rhythm and some decent physical theater experience, you might just be that robot.
BMG is holding an open casting call for performers interested in playing the role of its new futuristic character, Showbot, on August 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Auditions will be held in Monte Carlo’s Casino Ballrooms 3 and 4, open to women only with a small build and high physical fitness.
The Blue Man Group show continues in its current home at the Venetian through September 30 before its robotic reboot and relocation to its new home at Monte Carlo. For more info, follow along at the show’s Vegas website.
