It looks as if Radio City Pizzeria is finished at Tivoli Village. The casual restaurant opened in the new Summerlin-area shopping center last spring, and closed earlier this week. A posted notice stated the pizzeria is delinquent in paying rent to Tivoli Village. Radio City ownership declined comment as a lawsuit is imminent. But the restaurant is moving forward with plans for a Downtown location at 508 E. Fremont Street, a project that won approval for a tavern license from the city’s planning commission earlier this month. It’s projected to open in October.
Another northwest restaurant locked its doors in recent weeks. Slidin’ Thru, at 6410 N. Durango Drive, has a sign posted that reads: “Closed temporarily until further notice. Ya we know it sucks.” Calls and messages to the restaurant and its ownership were not immediately returned. Opened late last year, the drive-through restaurant is the second brick-and-mortar effort from Slidin’ Thru, which began business as a food truck and had previously opened and closed a smaller restaurant attached to a video poker bar off Sunset Road.
