Dos Caminos, the upscale Mexican restaurant that called Palazzo home from February 2008 through November 2011, is set to return to Las Vegas in a familiar off-Strip location. Stephen Hanson and B.R. Guest Hospitality plan to relaunch the concept in early March at 10820 West Charleston Blvd., formerly the site of another Mexican restaurant, Agave.

Dos Caminos has four locations in New York City as well as restaurants in Atlantic City and Ft. Lauderdale. The new Vegas restaurant will be helmed by corporate executive chef Ivy Stark and executive chef Reed Osterholt. A release today said the new space will feature a "soft, neutral palate"—far from the shocking pink of Agave's decor—"highlighted by a reclaimed barn wood wall ... The outdoor [patio] space will be warmed by chimineyas, Mexican fire pits accented by bright fabrics, and inside the bar will showcase several televisions for sports watching as well as gaming stations." The Dos Caminos menu is a collection of Mexican staples and signature dishes, augmented by a Latin-accented cocktail menu.

Agave closed less than two weeks ago. A spokesman for the Corrigan restaurant group, which also includes Vintner Grill and the two Roadrunner Saloons, said there are no current plans to re-open Agave elsewhere.
