Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum isn’t just about selling booze. It’s also about donating booze for good causes. That’s solid community spirit, but Sailor Jerry’s Hold Fast documentary series takes it to another level. Launched last summer, the project sent Airstreams across the country to seek out “individuals and businesses who have dedicated themselves to mastering their field and then fearlessly pursued its innovation like Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins did with tattooing.” In Las Vegas, the Airstream hit Pick Your Poison Bake Shop (Robyn Holt and Taryn Mumpower), Studio 21 Tattoo (the Spencer family of Charlie, Becki, Austin and Courtney) and Cowtown Guitars (Jesse Amoroso). On First Friday, the stories of these proud Vegas businesses will screen at Cowtown Guitars, with Sailor Jerry cocktails, Pick Your Poison cupcakes and live music. Bicycle club Hammer and Cycle will also be on hand to accept donations of used bicycles. Have some warm fuzzy with your warm fuzzy.
