Local musician and DJ Doug Frye, who passed away last week, will be remembered at a memorial concert this weekend.

Doug Frye Memorial Show Celebrate the life of the local musician, DJ and friend to so many on the scene. The Nines, The Fremonts, Big Like Texas and World Record will be onstage, so come out and rock—Doug would want it that way. January 13, 10 p.m., free with canned food donation, Bunkhouse.
Las Vegas Wind Quintet Enjoy an afternoon of chamber music led by clarinetist Dave Hawley, a former member of Lawrence Welk’s orchestra. Among the eight quintet pieces being played are works by Satie, Rameau and Walter Piston. January 14, 2 p.m., $5, Charleston Heights Arts Center.
Martin Luther King Day Parade Because some of you have the day off, you love a parade and this holiday’s actually important. January 16, 10 a.m., Fourth St. from Charleston Blvd. to Stewart Ave.
