Imagine a loaf of bread so tasty, there’s nothing you could stack between two slices that would possibly improve on its savory excellence. It’s a sandwich by itself. It’s made with only a few ingredients, far greater than the sum of their parts. It’s decadent, deeply flavored with sweet onions and smoky bacon. Once its crackling exterior has been compromised, it won’t last long, because it tastes too good not to gobble.
If such a loaf exists in Las Vegas, odds are it’s being baked at Bon Breads, and here’s more good news: There are now two Bon Breads retail stores open, which means you don’t have to hunt through restaurants and markets to get your own batard. Good luck keeping it to yourself.
