The Trouble With the Truth/Lea Thompson Tribute Veteran actress Thompson, whose career spans 30 years and includes the Back to the Future series, presents her latest film, a cerebral drama co-starring John Shea, and receives the festival’s Indie Icon Award. July 20, 8 p.m. movie, 9:45 p.m. award presentation.
An Officer and a Gentleman/Louis Gossett Jr. Tribute Fellow Indie Icon Award recipient Gossett screens and discusses the 1983 romantic drama that won him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar and participates in an audience Q&A. July 21, 3 p.m.
