Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Godsmack to play Rock Vegas festival on the Strip

For the second year in a row, the Strip is set to play 48-hour host to a gaggle of popular hard rock acts and thousands of hard rock fans. Just don't call this year's event the 48 Hours Festival. That's sooooo 2011.
The new event, called Rock Vegas, will take place inside Mandalay Bay Events Center on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29. Set to perform: Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, P.O.D., Adelitas Way, New Medicine, Deuce and Redlight King on Day 1 and Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Stonesour, Buckcherry, All That Remains, Art of Dying and Otherwise on Day 2.
Tickets—priced from $39-$79 for single-day tickets, $78-$158 for two-day passes and $200-$400 for VIP packages—go on sale Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. through rockvegasfest.com.
Last October, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Godsmack, Hatebreed, Sevendust, Five Finger Death Punch and others played on two stages in the Luxor festival grounds.
