Hear
Radiohead Tribute So Thom and the guys won’t play Las Vegas? Instead of crying about it, the local scene has worked up some Radiohead of its own for the Royal House’s latest covers night. See which tunes Minor Suns, Same Sex Mary, Underwater Ally and the rest have prepared, and draw a stranger into an OK Computer vs. Kid A debate between acts. June 9, 9 p.m., free.
Leopold & His Fiction + The Skooners Leopold isn’t local, but the bluesy, frequent-visiting San Franciscans will always have a place in our hearts. As for The Skooners, well, when was the last time you saw the Rusty Maples’ boys “other” band on a flier? June 8, 10 p.m., $5, Royal House.
Go
Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Pacquiao has eight—go ahead, count ’em—titles, and he’ll defend one of them this weekend against the 28-0 Bradley. June 9, 3 p.m., $200-$1,200, MGM Grand.
Idina Menzel Musical fans know her as Elphaba in Wicked and Maureen in the original Broadway production of Rent. Lea Michele fans know her as Shelby Corcoran (Rachel Berry’s mom) on Glee. No matter how you know her, you’ll remember the powerhouse vocals and incredible audience connection she’ll bring to the Smith Center this weekend. June 10, 7:30 p.m., $39-$129, Reynolds Hall.
See
Mad Men season finale The departure of a beloved character. The death of a troubled one. Whatever happens Sunday, one thing’s already certain—we’re exhausted. June 10, 10 p.m., AMC.
American Ninja Warrior The Japanese obstacle course comes to the U.S. for the first time this season, with the finals taped in Las Vegas. Warning: You might have an uncontrollable urge to do pull-ups and jump over pits of water while watching. NBC, Mondays, 9 p.m.
Eat
Gastropub Mondays Cocktail specials featuring Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey and live music from The Whispering Giants are part of Comme Ça’s new night, but food, of course, is in the spotlight. Sample bangers and mash, duck fat fries with gravy, potted grits with blue cheese and more, every week starting June 11. 5-11 p.m.
Play
100 Floors This phone app’s art sucks, and the premise is ridiculous, but like with Jumanji, if you start playing, you’ll want to play to the end. Very addicting. By Tobi, free.
