The pizza guys’ Metro menu picks

Image

It’s not easy for Sam and John to pick a favorite pizza. We forced them to do it.

Sam Facchini: “My choice is the Mulberry Street pizza, which was chosen by Food Network as the best pizza in Nevada in their 50 States - 50 Pizzas special feature earlier this year. It’s an eggplant Parmigiana pizza that’s deliciously unique, a true one-of-a-kind. I order it every time I am entertaining colleagues visiting Metro Pizza for the very first time.”

John Arena: “My favorite dish changes all the time. Right now it’s something that isn’t officially on the menu, a pizza we call the Dayna Roselli, [after the TV personality] who has been a big supporter. Her pizza has sliced meatballs, ricotta and roasted red and green peppers. The combination of meatballs made with Pecorino Romano cheese, sweet peppers and creamy ricotta on top of a crispy blistered crust contains all of the contrasts that I look for in a great pie.”
