The Nevada Commission on Tourism’s list of potential new catchphrases is pun-heavy

The Nevada Commission on Tourism wants a new catchphrase for the Silver State. The group that brought us “Nevada: Wide Open” and “The Two Sides of Nevada” is currently considering “All in Nevada,” “ReiNVent” (get it?) and “Nevada is for Doers” as a fresh way of making our state top of mind for tourists. Those are, uh, fine, but among the rejected lines are gems like “Discovery Is in Our Veins” and “State of Mine.” Punsters everywhere would be proud. And we’ll see your bad state-themed puns and raise you. How about “Oh, Brothel, Where Art Thou?” “What’s for Desert?” and “What You Talkin’ About, Nellis?”
