It’s been a weekend-long early 34th birthday celebration for former Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, and other celebrities joined in her celebration, including Chris Paul of the L.A. Clippers, who sprayed the “X Factor: U.K.” judge with water instead of champagne.
Fresh from a Friday at Tao Beach and dinner at Lavo in the Palazzo with friends and family, including actors Hill Harper and Quinton Aaron and cousin Meleana Brown (“Duets”), Nicole continued her celebration Saturday at Tao Beach in the adjoining Venetian. The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 10 champion with Derek Hough donned an animal print Vix bikini and cover up with gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels. (In “Men in Black 3,” she portrays a dominatrix in black leather and high heels.)
Nicole, who turns 34 on Friday, and her party posse overlooked the pool scene in their grand cabana. A parade of blow-up, pool-party animals made its way through the daytime revelers to the birthday girl, with two shirtless studs -- guy candy for the ladies! -- leading the way with a surprise from Herbal Essence: a four-tier red velvet cake adorned with tropical accents and cherry blossoms.
Nicole, an Herbal Essence ambassador, also received a gift from the hair-care company: an Alexander McQueen baby pink leather clutch with quilted detail and gold accents. Nicole got on the mic and said. “Thank you for coming out to celebrate my birthday with me! This is my dedication to you.” Just as she finished her words, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N***** in Paris” played, and the guys and girls went wild.
Throughout the afternoon, Nicole sported dangling mustache glasses, posed for photographs with fans and later jumped on the mic once again to perform a medley of her hits, including “Don’t Cha.” She danced to the sounds of DJ Lema, who dropped the world premiere of her newest single “One More Shot.”
The birthday celebration continued with dinner at Tao, followed by the upstairs nightclub. Nicole wore a gold and glittery Haute Hippie dress, Norman Silverman bangles and ring, a Loree Rodkin ring and gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Joined at an elevated VIP table with friends including Quinton, Nicole later jumped in the DJ booth with resident DJ Vice as he led the nightclub in “Happy Birthday.”
After another cake presentation, she said, “What’s up, Vegas?! Thank you so much for coming to celebrate my birthday. Let’s give it up for my boy DJ Vice!” Also at Tao (the beach, restaurant and nightclub): Francia Raisa (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), “American Idol” Season 5 champion Taylor Hicks (who starts a residency at Bally’s on Tuesday), “Idol” Season 5 alumnus Elliot Yamin and “The Hangover” heartthrob Justin Bartha.
