Four ways we can solve the food situation at the Smith Center

Admit it — if you saw this in front of the Smith Center, you’d start to drool, right?

Well, it’s official—the Smith Center for the Performing Arts is a hit! Unfortunately, other than upscale Mexican restaurant Mundo, there’s really no place to eat nearby. And what better complements a night of the arts than some great pre- or post-theater food? Luckily, the Weekly has a few ideas:
Food trucks If there’s one thing Vegas knows how to do, it’s meals on wheels. Slidin’ Thru, Tasty Bunz, Fukuburger—no place to sit, but you won’t be complaining after the first bite.
A Mundo app Since it’s the only eatery easily in walking distance, how about putting in your order the minute the show’s over? After all, this place figures to be in high demand.
Tailgating Some legal issues, but c’mon—is there a better mental image than a guy in a tux knocking back a Rolling Rock and holding a Chicago dog before going to see the Canadian Tenors?
Pedicabs The modern-day equivalent of the rickshaw, these babies could be used to get patrons to Fremont Street and back before the curtain rises.
