Zumba is everywhere. People magazine recently featured fans of the dance-your-ass-off fitness program after they shed half their weight. Kelly Ripa and Rob Lowe busted some of its moves on morning TV. USA Today named it one of the top 10 fitness trends of the year, and the video game version recently hit six million sales worldwide.
If you want to get in on the trend and burn some crazy calories before a beer-soaked St. Paddy’s Day, hit the Silverton for a “Zumbathon” benefit for Three Square Food Bank. Three Square helps feed the hungry in Las Vegas, hence the entry fee of five canned green food items per person. And the color theme continues with an encouraged dress code of green (spandex!) and special post-workout green cocktails. Top Zumba instructors will help you break a sweat during the two-hour session, and you’ll know you’re working for more than just a hard body.
