More exciting news came today, as the recently opened performing arts center released the lineup of shows that will follow the Tony-nominated musical, as well as touring productions of The Color Purple, Memphis, Million Dollar Quartet and Mary Poppins arriving at the Smith Center this spring and summer. The 2012-2013 season, which begins in the fall, will include The Addams Family (November 20-25), Anything Goes (February 5-10), West Side Story (February 26-March 3), Shrek the Musical (March 19-24), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (April 16-24), Billy Elliot the Musical (March 14-19), Catch Me If You Can (June 18-23), La Cage aux Folles (August 14-19) and Green Day’s American Idiot (June 11-16).
As for tickets, the Smith Center offers an eight-show package that starts at $207. That package does not include American Idiot or La Cage aux Folles, though both can be added starting at $24 per ticket. The package will be available in early April, with tickets for individual shows going on sale at a later date.
